A psychosocial, trauma‑informed approach to healing during life’s most challenging seasons
I’m Faith Julius, a psychosocial counsellor and systemic practitioner supporting individuals, couples, and families navigating chronic illness, health challenges, and major life transitions. My work integrates trauma-informed care, systemic family therapy, and narrative approaches to help you understand the emotional, relational, and identity shifts that often follow life‑altering experiences.
I hold a Diploma in Therapeutic Counselling and a BSc in Counselling, alongside specialist training in trauma and systemic family therapy. I bring both professional knowledge and lived empathy into each session.
My approach is calm, attuned, and grounded in respect. I focus on creating a space where you feel heard, understood, and supported as you work through challenges at your own pace. I see healing as a process of building meaning, strengthening connection, and developing resilience during periods of uncertainty.

Supporting You Through Change, Illness, and Emotional Overwhelm.
No two stories are the same. Your journey deserves to be understood in the context of your family, culture, faith, and lived experience.
In our work together, you’ll find a safe, compassionate space to:
* Process the emotional impact of chronic illness or diagnosis
* Navigate identity changes and grief
* Understand shifting family roles and communication patterns
* Build resilience during uncertainty
* Explore faith, meaning, and purpose in difficult seasons
* Support your children or partner through health‑related transitions
* Reduce caregiver stress and emotional fatigue
My practice honours the whole person, your emotions, your relationships, your story, and your cultural and spiritual world.

Why work with me
When you are navigating chronic illness, major life transitions, or emotional overwhelm, you deserve support from someone who understands the complexity of what you are carrying, emotionally, relationally, culturally, and spiritually.
I live with sickle cell, and this experience has shaped a deep sense of empathy for the impact of long-term health conditions. Illness can affect identity, relationships, and faith, and often brings a form of pain that is hard to put into words. My role is to meet you with understanding and care, while keeping the focus on your story and your needs.
You will be met with warmth and respect. A space where you do not need to explain the exhaustion, uncertainty, or quiet grief that often comes with chronic illness or life transitions.
My approach is trauma-informed, faith-rooted, and intentional. I combine professional training with lived experience to support you at your own pace in a safe and consistent environment. Alongside counselling, I offer practical tools that help you build resilience and create meaningful, lasting change.
We work relationally, drawing on Gestalt principles to explore not only what you feel, but how you relate to yourself and others. This includes attention to the therapeutic relationship, which can support deeper awareness and growth.
Healing is not about fixing what is wrong. It is about recognising your strength, rebuilding connection with yourself, and moving forward with clarity.
My focus is to support you as you navigate the emotional impact of illness and transition, reconnect with your identity, and strengthen the parts of you that may feel uncertain or overlooked.
